○ Buses will not wait for latecomers.
Transportation Rules
A. General Transport Rules
1. Punctuality
2. Boarding and Seating
○ Students should board the bus only after it has come to a complete halt.
○ They must occupy their assigned seats immediately after boarding. Seat reservation for others is not allowed.
○ Standing or moving around while the bus is in motion is prohibited.
3. Behaviour
○ Littering or throwing objects from the bus is not allowed.
○ Students must not put any body part outside the windows.
○ Unruly behaviour, such as shouting or distracting the driver, is strictly prohibited.
4. Safety and Discipline
○ Students must not touch the bus controls or instrument panel.
○ Any damage to the bus caused by negligence will be charged to the student responsible.
○ Students must keep the aisles and doorways clear at all times.
5. CCTV Monitoring
○ All buses are equipped with CCTV cameras to ensure safety and monitor behaviour. Misconduct may result in withdrawal of bus facilities.
B. Rules for Parents
1. Conduct
○ Parents should not argue with the bus staff or teachers present. Complaints should be submitted in writing to the Transport In-Charge.
3. Change in Details
○ Any change in residential address, pick-up/drop-off points, or contact details must be communicated in writing to the transport department. Changes will take effect after 7 operational days.
C. Boarding and Alighting Rules
1. Fixed Stops:
○ Pick-up and drop-off spots are fixed. Changes require prior written permission.
2. Safety at Stops
○ Students must stay away from the edge of the road and avoid unsafe behaviour while waiting for the bus.
3. Seating
○ Children in classes below 8 must share seats (3 students to 2 seats) as per RTA rules.
○ Only the designated door should be used for boarding and alighting, except in emergencies.
D. Decorum in School Vehicles
1. Behaviour
○ Courteous behaviour and acceptable noise levels are expected at all times.
○ Consumption of food is prohibited for safety and hygiene reasons.
2. Safety Measures
○ No standing on the footboard or near the driver's area.
○ Inflammable items or flame-producing devices are strictly prohibited.
3. Discipline
○ Indiscipline may lead to withdrawal of transport facilities or admission
E. Self Drop and Pick-Up Rules
1. Eligibility
○ Students residing within 500 meters of the school must walk to school and be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
2. Private Transport
○ Private unauthorised commercial vehicles are not allowed for drop-offs.
3. Permissions
○ Students above Class 8 may walk unaccompanied with prior parental permission.
F. Additional Guidelines
1. Breakdowns
○ In case of bus breakdowns, alternative arrangements will be made, subject to feasibility.
2. Field Trips
○ Consent is required for students to use school transport for trips, excursions, and competitions.
3. Withdrawal
○ Withdrawal from the transport facility requires a one-month prior written notice.
