2. Book Issuance and Return
a. Issuance Policy
● Only one book will be issued at a time.
● Reference books, periodicals, magazines, and newspapers are for in-library use only and cannot be issued.
● Books will be issued and returned only during the scheduled library periods.
b. Return Policy
● Books must be returned within seven days. Late returns will incur a fine of Rs. 5/- per day per book.
● Students are not eligible for a new book until the previously issued book is returned.
● Books must be returned 15 days before examinations. Failure to do so will result in being barred from exams.
3. Book Care and Replacement
a. Checking Condition: Students must inspect the book's condition during issuance and report any damage or defects to the librarian immediately.
b. Damage or Loss:
● Books marked, disfigured, or damaged must be replaced by the borrower.
● If a book is lost, the student must report it immediately and replace it with a new copy within one week.
c. Fines and Penalties:
● Writing, marking, or underlining in library books is prohibited. Violators will be fined equivalent to the cost of replacing the book.
● Any deliberate damage or defacement may result in suspension from library privileges for the term or academic year.

a. Library Records Students must carry their school almanac and pens/pencils to maintain a record of the books they read or borrow.
b. Exit Protocol
● Students must show the issued book at the library exit checkpoint during dispersal.
● Books issued should only be brought to school on the day of return to avoid misplacement.
c. Misbehavior: Any misbehavior or disturbance in the library will result in disciplinary action.
5. Special Guidelines for Class XII Students
a. Students must submit a library clearance slip (issued by the librarian) to their class teachers to receive their Board Exam Admit Card.
b. "No Dues" clearance from the library is mandatory before collecting mark sheets or transfer certificates.

a. Library staff and the librarian are available to assist students in finding resources and maintaining order.
b. The library reserves the right to recall any issued book/item at any time.
c. Cooperation in maintaining a conducive atmosphere for study and learning is expected from all users.
