Safety and Security

1. School Premises

○ No child is allowed to leave the school premises during school hours without prior permission.
○ In case of an emergency, parents/guardians must contact the Principal/IC to obtain a gate pass before the child can leave the premises.

2. Half-Day or Early Leave

○ Half-day leave or early leave after weekly tests is discouraged for safety reasons. Parents are advised to avoid such requests unless absolutely necessary.

3. CCTV Surveillance

○ CCTV cameras are installed throughout the school and in school buses to ensure the safety and security of students.
○ Movements of students and visitors are monitored to prevent unauthorized access and ensure discipline.
○ Any act of indiscipline recorded on CCTV will result in appropriate disciplinary action, including withdrawal of privileges like the bus facility.

4. School Bus Safety

○ School buses are equipped with CCTV cameras to monitor student behavior and ensure safety.
○ Misconduct in the bus reported by the driver, attendant, or teacher will lead to strict action, including suspension of bus services for the offender.

5. Prohibition of Weapons

○ Students are strictly prohibited from carrying any weapon or weapon-like item that can harm others.
○ Violation of this rule will be treated as a serious offence and dealt with accordingly.

6. Authorized Pick-Up

○ Students must only be picked up by authorized individuals whose details are registered with the school.
○ Parents/guardians must inform the school in advance if someone else is picking up the child.

7. Stranger Alert

○ Students are instructed to avoid interacting with strangers within or outside the school premises.
○ Security personnel will monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access.

8. Emergency Procedures

○ Regular fire and evacuation drills will be conducted to prepare students and staff for emergencies.
○ All students must follow instructions from teachers and security personnel during such drills.

9. Safe Use of School Facilities

○ Students must use school facilities responsibly to avoid accidents or injuries.
○ Any unsafe condition or hazard should be reported to a teacher or staff member immediately.

10. Cyber Safety

○ Students must adhere to the school’s guidelines for the use of technology and online platforms.
○ Sharing inappropriate content, cyber bullying, or misuse of devices will result in strict disciplinary action.

11. Health and Hygiene

○ Parents must inform the school if their child has any medical condition that requires special attention.
○ Students showing symptoms of contagious diseases must stay at home to ensure the safety of others.

12. Visitors Policy

○ All visitors, including parents, must report to the security desk and obtain a visitor pass before entering the school premises.
○ Unauthorized visitors will not be permitted.

These rules are designed to ensure a safe, secure, and disciplined environment for all students. Non-compliance with any of these rules may lead to disciplinary action as per the school’s policies.
